Powerful and miraculous things happen when the saints gather to praise and worship the living Lord, and each week here at New Life, we expect to encounter Him as we play and sing music that is chosen to please Him in every way. Because we take seriously the Testament mandate to speak to the Lord "with Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" (Ephesians 5.19), our worship services incorporate a great variety of the musical styles, from the time-tested great hymns of the church to many of today's most-loved contemporary worship songs.
Many people from the Eastern Jackson County region have been attracted to New Life through the anointed preaching of the word, and the Spirit-led music, led by the New Life Worship Team and the exciting New Life Choir. Led by Pastor Rusty Douthitt, who joined the staff in August, 1993, the music ministry is a great opportunity for believers who have musical skills to enjoy fellowship, discipleship, and training in leading worship. |

 New Life Choir -
The choir leads worship every Sunday morning as well as for special events and seasonal musical productions throughout the year. Rehearsals are held Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. If you are a singer, if you have attended New Life Assembly for at least two months, and are at least 14 years of age, you are welcome to attend a choir rehearsal at any time. Interviews for membership are held three times each year, in January, May and August. You are not required to read music to become a member, and may join the choir for as little as three months.
New Life Worship Band -
Instrumentalists are selected based on ability and availability. The band rehearses twice monthly on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. Potential members are welcome to attend any time. Auditions are held periodically, and potential members must have attended New Life Assembly for at least two months. Because players are worship leaders also, they are expected to demonstrate faithfulness and commitment to their ministry.
New Life Worship Team Vocalists -
New Life WTV members are selected from the New Life Choir, and must have demonstrated exceptional vocal ability, blend, and faithfulness to the worship ministry. Auditions are based on need.
Media -
Our New Life Media Ministries is comprised of teams who run all audio/visual elements in each of our services. If you have experience in or would like to learn more about running sound, computer graphics and software, or anything else that has to do with media we would love to meet you. You can contact Justin Stewart in the church office if you would be interested in helping in the Media Ministries. |

One of the goals of the New Life Music Ministry is to produce quality recordings that reflect the worship life of our congregation. In June, 2004, we released, "Jesus Is Worthy," our worship recording that features the New Life Worship Choir singing some of the finest worship music available. Included are five original songs written or co-written by Music Pastor, Rusty Douthitt. To listen to samples of the music, just scroll down to the recording, and click on the songs you'd like to hear.
